He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude "Buck" Ashburn and Artie Ashburn (Neely); and his siblings, Dean Moore, Golda Wilson, Olen Claude Ashburn, Nolan Paul Ashburn and Mamie June TurnerIn.
He is survived by: his son James Hazelwood (Amy Pauline Hazelwood). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
The military honors was held on Saturday, April 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Campground Cemetery (1330 Campground Rd, Clarkrange, TN 38553).
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the American Heart Association.
