He was predeceased by: the mother of his child Joyse Ann Choate (Bragg); his son Austin Edward Choate; his parents, Edward Choate and Hazel Choate (Reagan); and his sister Shirley King.
He is survived by: his wife Trisha Roysdon-Choate; his daughters, Cheryl Choate Hinds (Billy) and Ronica Choate; his grandsons, Thomas Hinds of Jamestown Brothers, Jimmy Choate (Virgie) and Henry Choate of Tullahoma, TN.; and his children, Cooter, Ginger and Coco.
