He is survived by: his children, Katie Mandrell (Phillip) and David Josephy (Kathy Josephy); his sister Marilyn Picot (Randy Numbers); his stepchildren, Ronna Louise (Justin), Chandel Emerson, Sarah Blackwell (Gerrell) and Samuel Emerson, Sr.; and his stepgrandchildren, Jack, Tom, Adam, Daniel Louise, Jaelyn, Gabriel, McKenna Blackwell and Samuel Emerson, Jr..
