She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Johnson, Sr. and Elizabeth Suggs Johnson; her husband Grant Lee Leavell; her son Steve Leavell; her grandchildren, Shatoya Woodard, Rosalyn Carney and ZaMir McVay; and her siblings, Lovie Virginia Johnson, Peggy Johnson, Polly Leavell, Mattie Henderson, Curtis Johnson, Jr., Sam Johnson, Moses Johnson, James Earl Johnson, Charles Johnson, Grady Johnson and William Johnson.

She is survived by: her children, Shelia Osborne (Pastor Jesse) of Clarksville, TN, Cynthia Dowlen (Robert), Deanna Dunn (Eugene), Patricia "Trish" Boone, Elder Leavell (Garnettia) of Springfield, TN, Wayne Leavell (Debra) and Don Leavell (Lateria); her granddaughters, Jurnee Boone-Brewer and Tiffany Grant; her siblings, Rev. Delmus Johnson (JaTanya) of Springfield, TN, Myrna Wilcox of Smyrna, TN, Katie Majors of Nashville, TN and Ada Denton of Clarksville, TN; and her sisters-in-law, Cerniel Johnson and Linda Kay Johnson. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.
