He was predeceased by: his father Joe Monroe Black; his daughter Billie Jane "Sissy" Black; and his grandson Xavion Bell. He is survived by: his wife Tandy Appleton Black; his children, Glendon Monroe Black (Amie) and Sheryl Anne Appleton-Black; his siblings, Charles W. Black, Danny R. Black (Barbara), Gene Black (Laura) and Mary Rose (Pat); his grandchildren, Tandy Nicole Lynch (Walt Merriweather), Kara Zahn (Daniel), Candace Harper (Reed), Jerad Morgan (Erin) and Rae Anne Black (Clay Reynolds); and his great grandchildren, Xavier Bell, Cali Zahn, Kaylee Zahn, Emory Zahn, Mary Kate Zahn and Conner Morgan.
