He was predeceased by: his father Edward Smith; and his grandfather Jesse W. Smith. He is survived by: his mother Rita Bumpus Smith; his grandmother Frances R. Smith; his daughter Ava Dawn Smith; his siblings, Jeffrey Bumpus and Kimberly Smith (Jamar Jones); and his uncle Jeffrey (Michelle).
