She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Felix Abernathy and Birdie Maude Jones; her husband Knox Thomas Jr.; her son Scott Allen Thomas; and her granddaughter Amy Elizabeth Ireland.
She is survived by: her children, Knox B. Thomas III (Shirley), Charles Larry Thomas and Debby Masters (Jim). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
