He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Peay and Minnie Moore Leavell; his wife Ella M. Leavell; and his siblings, Austin Peay Leavell Jr., Margaret Leavell Johnson and Inez Joyce Pace.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Tyree Wall (Charles) and Diane Tyree Wamble (John); his grandchildren, Shannon Konkle (J.), Wendy Kauffman (Ken), Emily Williams (Joe), Kathryn Carter (Ray) and Justin Wamble; and his great grandchildren, Caroline, Ross Konkle, Emma, Maggie Williams and Ella Kauffman.
