She was predeceased by: her parents, George McWhorter and Ora McWhorter; and her siblings, Dudley, Wilson, Norman, Billy, Ray, Marie and Lucy.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Dean; her sons, Charles R. Dean (Laura) and Donald Wayne Dean (Sandy); and her sister Mary Alice. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
