He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton Gibbs and Freda Gibbs; his wife Dorothy Wright Gibbs; his son Kenneth Gibbs; and his siblings, Jack Gibbs, Charles Gibbs and Faye Biter.
He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Gibbs (Jennifer), Sandra Russell and Sue Duncan (Ken); and his grandchildren, Angela Cobb, Richard Russell, Robert Russell, Ryan Russell, Amanda Wollum and Jason Fletcher. He is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren.
