We are sad to announce that, on February 14, 2026, at the age of 97, Gordon Dean Shippy of Clarksville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Gordon leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Duane Shippy (Elton Shippy) and Mildred Shippy; his wife Ardell Shippy; his brother Jim Shippy; and his son-in-law Doug Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Glen Shippy (Teresa) and Pamela Dell Cox; and his grandchildren, Meleigh Shippy (John Traylor) and Benjamin Shippy (Alexis Shippy).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International or to Sango United Methodist Church building fund.
