With sadness, we share the passing of Gregory Thornton of Clarksville, Tennessee. Gregory, born on February 12, 1957, passed away on October 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Thornton and Lottie Thornton; his wife Ruby Thornton; and his brother Danny Thornton. He is survived by: his children, Teonna Jackson, Ebony Maddox and Gregory Thornton, Jr.; his grandchildren, Nalayah Maddox and Nazuri Maddox; his siblings, Debra Berry (Victor), Brenda Thornton and Richard Thornton; and his nieces and nephews, Donnie Thornton (Sue), Leneé Fry, Demia Fry, Josh Shandle and Morgan Thornton.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sykes Funeral Home (424 Franklin St, Clarksville, TN 37040). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
