He was predeceased by: his parent Elza Thompson; his brother Ralph Thompson; his siblings-in-law, Weep Earles, Wendell Campbell, Bob Jordan, Billy Heath, Greg Bray and Frances Heath; his nephews, Kevin Campbell and Nicholas Flynn; and his niece Debbie Heath.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Thompson; his sister Gail Gossett (Gary); his niece Erin Weber (Jared); his siblings-in-law, Margaret Bray, Aline Jordan, Christine Campbell, Bobby Flynn and Jim Flynn; his nieces and nephews, Tracey Hoover, Ann Everhart, Taylor Campbell, Lori Campbell-Lewis, Suzanne Flynn-Niles, Vickie Burchfield, Sandy Haney, Joann Campbell, Donna Gibson, Linda Heath, Steve Bray and Danny Jordan; and his friend Glen Tucker.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society or the Somerset Chapter of Love on a Leash in memory of Howard Thompson.
