He was predeceased by: his father John Wesley Carter; his wife Mildred Blanks; and his siblings, John Wesley Carter, Bernice Peacher and Margaret Grant.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Carter (Claudia) and Susie Boyd (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Andy (Carole), Christopher Carter (Stephanie) and Betsy Wilson (Nick); and his great grandchildren, Austin, Brianna Wilson, Brayden Applewhite and McKenna Weathers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
