He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewing Othellow Mickle, Jr. and Mary Imogene Knight Mickle. He is survived by: his wife Carol Wall Mickle; his children, Jerry Mickle (Teresa), Joseph Mickle, Shannon Mickle (BJ Nichols), Sara Biter and Melanie Lehman (Clint); and his sister Patricia Brown (Virgil). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Walton's Chapel United Methodist Church, 4451 Ashland City Road, Clarksville, TN 37043.
