With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean (Parten) Harris (Clarksville, Tennessee), born in Paris, Tennessee, who passed away on December 31, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Velma Moody Parten (Polly) and John William Beasley Parten (Willie); and her husband James Harris. She is survived by: her brother George Robert "Bob" Parten (Bonnie); her cousin Mildred Carroll of Apex, NC.; her daughters, Denise Hemingway (Kirk), Kim Gillespie (Larry), Shannon Blackwell (Jonathan) and Elizabeth Harris; her grandchildren, Christina McCormick, Michelle Hernandez, James Blackwell, Kara Moore, Jacob Day, Sage Gillespie, Abby Day and Hannah Pond; her niece Belinda Parten; her nephew Billy Parten; and her friend Jean Massey. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
