He was predeceased by: his father Alfred Johnsonbaugh. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Johnsonbaugh; his children, Richard Johnsonbaugh (Linda), Al Johnsonbaugh (Sarah), Mike Stoehr (Shauna), Elaine Shaw (John) and Delese Cancellero; and his sister Nancy Nesheim. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
