In the sacred silence of farewell, Oscar is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Oscar's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar James and Sue Mae Jones Devers; and his siblings, Mary Sue Holt and Terry Devers. He is survived by: his wife Judy Devers; his son Oscar "Deno" Devers, II (Elizabeth); his granddaughter Katelyn Conn (Michael); and his sisters, Rose Sanders, Nancy Bearden, Judy Ann Gauldin and Bonnie Narron.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sykes Funeral Home (424 Franklin St, Clarksville, TN 37040). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
