He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl A Schaaf and Edna Walters Schaaf. He is survived by: his wife Susan Schaaf; his sons, Derek Edward (Lynne) and Paul Anthony (Dyanna); his grandsons, Paul Austin (Bailey) and Joseph Colbeth; his nephews, David and Martin Ruehle; his stepsons, Glenn Ayers (Heather) and Brian Ayers (Jill); and his stepgrandchildren, Lauren, Colby, Trevor, Lyndsey, Taylor, Luke, Daniel and Liam.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home (1209 Madison St, Clarksville, TN 37040). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Greenwood Cemetery.
