He was predeceased by: his father Luther Griffin Brown; and his sons, Phillip Grady Brown, Jr. and Kyle Renken Brown. He is survived by: his wife Claudette Sanders Brown; his daughters, Phillis Brown Crawford (BJ), Karen Brown Cecil (Carl) and Miriam Brown Murray (Chris); his siblings, Melbourne "Bubba" Brown, James L. Brown and Carolyne Willis; and his grandchildren, Craig Crawford, Katelan Crawford Barron, Reece Crawford, Kelly Cecil Wible, Claire Cecil, Annie Cecil Barlow, Patrick Cecil, Margaret Murray Carroll and Paul Murray. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
