She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Chambers and Georgia Bell Chambers; her husband Rev Thomas Ligon, Sr.; her granddaughter Shirelle Ligon; her siblings, Walter Chambers, Claude Chambers, Rebecca Atkins, Dorothy Bowers and Mary Elizabeth Holman; and her daughter-in-law Phyllis Ligon.

She is survived by: her grandchildren-in-law, Dudley Ligon (Delphia), Vivian Ligon Mosley (Gary), Claude Ligon, Rev. Thomas Ligon, Jr. (Crystal), Andy Ligon (Janice), Jan Ligon Smallwood (Bobby) and Lonnie Ligon; her siblings, Frances Hubbard (James Hubbard), Bobby Chambers (Sandra), Josephine Bigbee and Ann Young; her sisters-in-law, Shirlene Chambers, Rosie Ligon and Lucille Ligon; and her close friend Sis. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren.
