He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugen Knight, Sr. and Janice Tester Knight; his siblings, Eugene Knight, Jr. (Louise) and Roberta Hall (Robert); his brother-in-law P. J. Norfleet (Lavelle); and his nephew Kenny Hall (Sherry).

He is survived by: his wife Martha Griffin Knight; his daughter Kristie McKinney (Steve) of North Carolina; his granddaughter Elizabeth McKinney Thurston of North Carolina; his great grandchild Miles Thurston; and his sisters, Lavelle Norfleet and Joann Knight. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A burial was held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery (976 Greenwood Ave, Clarksville, TN 37040).

Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Find Us Faithful.
