He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Wheeler; his children, William "Billy" Wheeler, Frederick Wheeler and Victoria Marie Wheeler; his granddaughter Bobbi Jean Wheeler; and his great grandchild Tyler Szlosek.
He is survived by: his children, Debra P. Christian (Tony Atkins) and Timothy Wheeler (Urania); and his grandchildren, Nicholas Wheeler, Angela Christian, Lisa Barrentine (Christopher), Billy Wheeler (Beverly) and Tricia Wheeler.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Encore Ministry/Foundation and Tennessee Western Kentucky Conference of UMC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mana Café or Stop Soldier Suicide.
