He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred and Allen; and his son Edward. He is survived by: his wife Laura Anne; his brother Bobby Ed Allen (Pat); and his children, Terry (Karen) and Beth. He is also survived by his six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Broad Street United Methodist Church at PO Box 3 Cleveland, TN 37364-0003.
