He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Hunt and Mable Wright Hunt; his niece Shipley Rose Buckner; and his parents-in-law, Ralph Buckner, Sr. and Stella O. Buckner.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Buckner Hunt; his son Jacen David Hunt (Renee); his grandchildren, David Luke Hunt, Lilly Hunt and Hope Hunt; his daughter Holly Allyson Schultz (Jonathan); his granddaughter Madeline Schultz; his sister Susan Hunt Ross (Mack); his siblings-in-law, Becky Buckner, Judy Harvey (Sonny) and Ralph Buckner, Jr. (Chari); his nieces and nephews, Amy Williams, Stella Buckner, Paris Buckner, Eric Neff, Paul Harvey and Brandon Buckner; and his great-nephew Sebastian Neff. He is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Main State Room of Buckner & Fike Funeral Home and Cremation (3000 Ralph Buckner Blvd NE, Cleveland, TN 37311). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens (7180 N Lee Hwy, Cleveland, TN 37312).
