With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Whitaker of Cleveland, Tennessee, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. David left this world on August 4, 2025 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, P. D. Whitaker and Maxine Davis Whitaker; and his sister Caryn Gae Whitaker. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Joy Love; his daughters, Bethany Joy Davis (Nathan Davis) and Amanda Hope Beaty (Brandon Beaty); his brother Robert Whitaker; and his granddaughters, Katelyn Bacon (Garren Bacon), Emily Davis, Candace Beaty and Sarah Davis. He is also survived by his wife, daughters and sons-in-law.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Companion Funeral Home. A celebration of life was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Buckner Shoes for Orphan Soles in his honor.
