He was predeceased by: his son Stephen Eric York; and his parents, James L. York and Virginia L. York. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Blackwell York of Cleveland; his sister Dana Burgess (Steve) of Cleveland; his nieces, Stephanie Everett (Greg) of Cleveland and Cindy Blevins (Andy) of Cleveland; his great-nephew Caden Everett (Angelina) of Cleveland; and his great-nieces, Makayla Brooks of Chattanooga and Carly Everett of Cleveland.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chestuee Cemetery/Chestuee Memorial (883 Chestuee Rd NE, Cleveland, TN 37323).
