He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Louis and Anna Lou McCleary Parris; his wife Elaine Bowerman Parris; his former wife Audrey Jeanette Moore; his daughter Channette Parris; his stepdaughter Yvette Moore; his sister Phyllis Ann Leonard; and his brother-in-law Felton Leonard.
He is survived by: his daughter Connie Crenshaw (Keith); his stepchildren, Tammy, Cathy, Stephanie and Avis Moore (Francis); his grandchildren, Brandon Crenshaw, Channette Parris (Dontavious), Walker, Kyora Kyle and Chrisma Taylor; his siblings, James Parris (Linda) and Sharon Jarrett (Wayne); his uncle Sherman McCleary; his nieces and nephews, Anthony Murphy (Terri), Ronnie Murphy (Julia), Brent Parris (Monica), Kregory Jarrett, Valerie Reese (Michael), Bonnie Buchanan (Edwin) and Shauna Samuel (Bryan); his siblings-in-law, Linda Parris and Wayne Jarrett; his nephews, Willie Lee Brice and Ira Paulk; and his extended family Michael Dodd. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
