With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elder Calvin Johnson (Cleveland, Tennessee), who passed away on February 9, 2026 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Elder departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Elder. Though Elder may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Johnson and Elsie Wilford Blakeley; and his brother Donald Shans. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Golden Johnson; his children, Dr. T. Hasan Johnson of Fresno, Garrett Johnson of Johnson City, Tennessee and Dr. Imani Kai Johnson of Long Beach, California; his grandchildren, RaKhem Johnson and Tasaiah Johnson; and his brother Thomas Waller. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
