It is with sadness that the passing of Ernest Cannon of Cleveland, Tennessee is shared. Ernest, born on September 19, 1935, passed away on September 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Cannon and Glenna Still Cannon of Cleveland; his former wife Stella Goodner Cannon; his wife Jean Cannon; his siblings, Ralph Cannon, Wendall Cannon, Irene Vincent, Sue Cannon and Jeane Cannon Casson; and his grandson Taylor Cannon of Cleveland.
He is survived by: his sons, Ernie Cannon (Bambi) and Wade Cannon (Brittany); his grandchildren, Duggan Cannon (Kiersten), Carson Cannon, Abbi Reese Cannon and Greyson Cannon; and his great grandchildren, Miles and Stella Cannon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Companion Funeral & Cremation Service - Ridge Sanctuary (2412 Georgetown Rd NW, Cleveland, TN 37311). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens (7180 N Lee Hwy, Cleveland, TN 37312).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Joe's memory to North Cleveland Baptist Church.
