He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Monka and Mary Monka; and his siblings, Cyrus Monka, David Monka, Beatrice Roman and Joseph Monka.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Monka of Cleveland; his children, Frank Monka, III of Cleveland, Timothy Allen Monka of Cleveland, Joseph Scott Monka of Cleveland, Cindy Cameron (Earl) of Cleveland and Kathy Cash (Troy) of Acworth, GA; his grandchildren, Wyatt Monka, Dylan Cash, Austin Cash, Emily Locke, Evan Locke and David Cameron; and his great-niece Mary Orr Woodward. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
