Gene Gouge Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gene Gouge of Cleveland, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 22, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, T. O. Gouge and Grovetta Gouge. He is survived by: his wife Donna Gouge; his children, Larry Eugene "Bootsie" Gouge, Jr. (Jennifer) of Etowah, TN, Renee Gouge Chambers (Jay) of Harrison, TN, Regina Gouge Linn (David) of Knoxville, TN, Charity L. Julian of Cleveland, TN and Leslie K. Benson of New Port Richey, FL; the mother of his children Joyce Cassada (Stan); his grandchildren, Casey Dyer (Will), Bradley Smith, Chelsea Smith, Joni Ryan (Catlin), Cassie Roberts, Cade Gouge, Jordan Robison and Courtney Robison; his great grandchildren, Micah Dyer, Maddox Dyer, Breah Smith, Kahli Ryan, Blakley Ryan, Major Harrison, Brantley Coleman and Mack Coleman; his sister Vivian Magyer of Clearwater, FL; and his sisters-in-law, Teresa Weaver (Steve) of Chattanooga, TN and Michelle Phillips (Matthew) of Chickamauga, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bordwine Funeral Home (203 Ohio Ave, Etowah, TN 37331). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of God of Prophecy (395 Warren St, Madisonville, TN 37354).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Church of God of Prophecy of Madisonville.
