He is survived by: his wife Kathy Townsend; his sons, Joseph Townsend and James Townsend (Hallie); his grandchildren, Heath Townsend, Cassie Connor, Clayton Townsend, Tyler Townsend, Michelle Townsend, Kaelyn Sampson, Candice Sampson and Emilee Sampson; his great grandchild Julian Townsend; his siblings, Claude Townsend, Derita Jacobs, Michael Townsend (Juian) and Kenneth Townsend; and his cousin Eddie Earwood (Diane). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the JIM Rush Funeral and Cremation Services (220 Wildwood Ave, Cleveland, TN 37311). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the JIM Rush Funeral & Cremation Services (220 Wildwood Ave, Cleveland, TN 37311).
