With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Glenn B Poteat of Cleveland, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 26, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Glenn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Glenn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Patsy Kinder Poteat; and his son Breck Poteat. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Kyker Poteat; his daughter Mitzi Samples (Hoyt); his grandchildren, Lochlin Samples (Megan) and Kelsey Googe (Charles); and his great grandchildren, Isla Samples and Walker Googe.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in Glenn's memory to Candy's Creek Baptist Church.
