We bid farewell to Herby Joyce Evans (Cleveland, Tennessee), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 29, 2025 at the age of 92. Herby touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Grady Horner and Almedia Horner (Smith); her husband Paul Evans; and her siblings, Rheba Harvell, Helen Palmer, Mildred King, Wanda Luther, James Horner and Bobby Horner.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Evans (Kay), Jenny Pritchett (Ray), Rita Barnard (Tim), Ross Evans (Toni) and Kim Kaiser (Chris); and her siblings, Windell Horner, Carolyn Mejia (Jacob), Mary Magdalene Spurrier (Steve) and Bonnie Hayes. She is also survived by 10 step-grandchildren, 15 step-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the JIM Rush Funeral and Cremation Services - North Ocoee (2603 N Ocoee St, Cleveland, TN 37312). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the JIM Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Chapel (2603 N Ocoee St, Cleveland, TN 37312). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
