He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Pearle Bryson and Minnie Morgan Bryson; his wife Margaret Roddy; his daughters, Debbie Bryson Ingram (David), Donna Bryson Kirksey (Benny) and Dianne Bryson King (Richard); his grandchildren, Bryson Kirksey (Kate), Jessica Hamilton (Luke), Brett Kirksey (Cana), Dr. Alexandra Ingram, Morgan King and Annelise King; his great grandchildren, Miles, Sage Kirksey, Asher Hamilton, Adi Beth and Colter Kirksey; and his siblings, Gladys White, Dr. Jewell Bryson, Wilma Goins, Dr. O. J. Bryson, Melvin Teddy Bryson, Hettie Sue Bryson, Shirley Guthrie and Dale Bryson.

Because of his love for and service to Camp Cherokee, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Cleveland Camp Cherokee.
