He is survived by: his wife Lillie Frances Collins Brown; his son James K. "Ken" Brown; and his grandchildren, Eric Brown, Aaron Brown, Sacha Bailey and Nathan Woody. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
