He was predeceased by: his wife Jessica "Jet" Helms; and his parents, Henry Helms and Myrtice Murkerson. He is survived by: his children, James "Jim" Helms, Michelle Harvard, Richard Helms and Robert "Blake" Helms. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
