He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Phillips and Frankie Phillips (Jordan); and his brothers, Chuck Bolin, David, Bobby, Leon, Eddie Phillips, Glenn Britt (Ruth Phillips) and Thomas Phillips (Skeet).

He is survived by: his sisters, Linda Phillips Rakestraw (Steve), Carol Phillips Britt and Chris Phillips Still (Gerald); and his sisters-in-law, Judy Phillips and Caroline Phillips. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews.
