He was predeceased by: his parents, Ione Copeland Edwards and Lee Harle Edwards; and his brother Don V. Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Nell Green Edwards; his daughters, Leslie Edwards Norman (Todd Norman) and Brooke Edwards Gilliam (Mark Gilliam); his granddaughter Copeland Elizabeth Norman; his cousins, Charles Edwards (Lurrie) and Dr. Phyllis Edwards Miller; and his caregivers, Dorothy Foster and Sandy Glover.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Companion Funeral & Cremation Service - Ridge Sanctuary (2412 Georgetown Rd NW, Cleveland, TN 37311).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Tennessee Technological University in memory of Joe Harle Edwards.
