He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee King and Josephine Ruth King; his siblings, Darryl King of Vallejo, Jerry King of Cleveland and Andrea "Sweetie" Dickerson of Cleveland; and his great grandchild Brodie King of Cleveland.

He is survived by: his wife Patsy King of Cleveland; his son David King (Tana) of Cleveland; his grandchildren, Shauna King-Strain (Clayton) of Cleveland and Christopher King (Kelli Ray) of Cleveland; his great grandchildren, Brayden and Caleb King of Cleveland; his brothers, Alan King (Linda) of Cleveland, Larry King (Beverly) of Cleveland and Randy King of Cleveland; and his sister-in-law Carolyn King of Vallejo, California. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
