She was predeceased by: her husband Epperson; her parents, Luther Maxwell and Cedell Hardin; her stepfather George Hardin; her siblings, Mae Shannon, George Maxwell, Jane Patton, Judy Edwards and Thomas Maxwell; her sons, Luther Maxwell and James Maxwell; and her grandchild Joey Richards.
She is survived by: her children, Richard "Boone" Maxwell (Pat), Anne Richards (Robert) and Henry Epperson (Tammy); her grandchildren, Chad Maxwell, BJ Maxwell, Taylor Richards and Misti Jarrett; and her siblings, Stella Tilley, Grover Hardin, Cecil Harden, Marvin Hardin and Alice Dalton. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Companion Funeral Home- Cleveland Chapel (2415 Georgetown Rd NW, Cleveland, TN 37311). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Tennga Baptist Church Cemetery (257 Tennga Gregory Rd, Tennga, GA 30751).
