He was predeceased by : his father Maynard Deford; his sister Doris Cross (Avery); his son Jeff Deford; and his pet Butch. He is survived by : his wife Betty Deford; his children, Sherry Williamson Yow (John) and Todd Deford (Shawna); his grandchildren, Christena Mariedth, Hannah Williamson (Jonathan Barbee), Jonathan Williamson (Savannah) and Ashley Gentry; and his great grandchildren, Cami Marideth, Meelah Mariedth, Jaiden Williamson and Isaac Barbee.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Ark of Cleveland located at 240 Oak Street NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
