She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Hall and Ava Hall; the father of her children Pledger Cross; her husband Robert Perry; her siblings, JC Hall, Edith Mowery, Reba Green, Ruby Johnson, Maggie Marler, Hoyt Hall, Cecil Hall, Marie Henderson and Lester Hall; her daughter-in-law Charlotte Cross; and her stepson Bobby Perry.
She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Cross, Becky Greene, Ellie Cantrell (Mike) and Connie Torbett (Robert); her stepdaughters, Donna Ellis (Dennis) of Cleveland and Connie Hendrix (John) of Knoxville; and her grandchildren, Celeste Dixon (Matt) of Cleveland, Josh Cross (Leslie) of Cleveland, William Martin (Stephanie) of Cleveland, Sheena Cantrell of Cleveland, Jaimee Bettis (Wade) of Cleveland, Sasha Smith (Harrison) of Cleveland, Natalie Knight (Michael) of Cleveland and Sara Torbett (Theresa) of Madison, WI.. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause that was close to Melba's heart.
