He is survived by : his wife Minna Lee Hembree; his daughter Sheila Hembree Jones (Richard); his granddaughter Rebecca Bell; his son Timothy Hembree (Denise); his grandchild Jewell Colyer; his son Steven Hembree (Deb); his grandsons, Anthony Hembree, Aaron Hembree and Daniel Hembree (Anna); his great grandchild Nathan Hembree; his daughter-in-law Gloria Hembree (Michael); his grandchildren-in-law, Kelly Hembree and Jason Hembree; his siblings, James Clyde Hembree, Gary David Hembree (Nellie) and Sue Hembree Cheek (James Robert); and his brother-in-law Jerry Self. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hopewell Church of God (5765 Eureka Rd NW, Cleveland, TN 37312). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
