He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Dorset and Virginia Dorset. He is survived by: his wife Sarah; his sons, David Dorset of Cleveland, John Dorset (Amy) of Knoxville and Dan Dorset (Petroula) of Signal Mountain; his grandchildren, Rachel Dorset, Bryce Dorset, Charlie Dorset, Amelia Dorset, Irene Dorset, Claire Dorset, Luke Dorset and Adian Cook; and his brother-in-law Charles Couric of Moraga, CA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Gifts in remembrance of Mike may be made to the missions program at Westwood Baptist Church.
