She was predeceased by : her grandparents, James, Bonnie McGuire and Vicky Kirby. She is survived by : her husband Sammy Parris; her children, Morgan Buckner (Trey), Katie Lockman (Sam), Josiah, Jacob, Sarah, Samuel and Stephen; her mother Dolores McCallister; and her siblings, Jonah (Megan McCallister) and Rachael (Jason Bivens). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Waterville Baptist Church (4555 Dalton Pike, Cleveland, TN 37323). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
