He was predeceased by: his parents, Eloise Barger Edgemon and Cecil Edgemon; his son Jonathan Edgemon; and his siblings, Cecilia Evans, Miriam "Mary" Stephens and Hugh Edgemon.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Edgemon of Cleveland; his sons, Brian Edgemon (Kim) of Cleveland and Philip Edgemon (Christy) of Cleveland; his grandchildren, Gage Edgemon, Lily Edgemon and Jessica Edgemon; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Ann Elliott (Rick), Carolyn Edgemon, Dale Evans and Bobby Morgan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
