He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Edwin Bivens and Margaret Nell Russell Bivens; and his brother Edwin Leolas Bivens. He is survived by: his wife Blanchette "Libby" Elizabeth Bivens; his daughters, Miranda Bivens and April Bivens Newman; his grandchildren, Laney Brooke Norris, Geoffrey Tate Norris, Zoey Elizabeth Newman and Russell Scout Newman; his nephew Jeremy Devere Bivens; and his sister Claudia Arlene Bivens Newman (Eddie Newman).
