He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Finley and Nellie Frizzell Finley of Niota, Tennessee.; his wife Mary M. Finley; his sisters, Martha Ann Barnes and Patricia Miller; and his daughter Margaret C. Maynard.
He is survived by: his children, Darlene Capps (Steve) of Cleveland, Robert L. Finley, Jr. (Gail) of Athens, Laraine Hayslett (Benny) of Sparta, NC, Ralph Finley of Delano, TN and Martha Calfee of Cleveland; his brother Darrell Finley (Janice) of Niota; his son-in-law Chip Maynard of Mt. Juliet, TN.; and his siblings-in-law, Charles McClure (Bobbie) of Delano, Clarence McClure (Patsy) of Benton and Ruth Ann Kersey (Jackie) of Cleveland. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
